500 Error -- clicking on a link in a revision

Clicking on a link in an old version makes this thing 500
out.

- State changed from “new” to “resolved”
okay,
and/items/1/versions/1 is the way we represent versions
/items/1/versions/pants was what was being referred to if someone made a link to <a href="pants">i've just made it so that it 404's rather than 500's when someone clicks on a 'bad' link
bad data is inevitable,
bad behaviour is preventable.
