buildings not appearing on dashboard map

the map on the dashboard doesn't seem to be drawing buildings
from the database.
Also, the mini maps on the building pages show the building in
question, but no adjacent buildings. It would be good if the main
building had a distinct marker and the neighbours had smaller
markers.
